Premier Hospice and Palliative Care Volunteers are the Heart of the Patient Care Team, offering companionship and support when it is needed the most. Premier Hospice and Palliative Care offers a free, comprehensive training program to provide education on end of life issues and prepare you for the hospice journey. Administrative Volunteer needed for 6 to 12 months
Opportunity Description: Premier Hospice and Palliative Care is in need of Volunteers interested in providing clerical support to the office staff by assisting with various tasks such as: * Data entry * Volunteer Department support * Bereavement support * Assembling packets * Preparation of large mailings * Assistance in medical records * Assistance with other tasks as needed ***Many of these tasks can be done outside of the office in the Volunteers home if preferred. Drop off and pick up of materials is available.***

Mission Statement Premier Hospice and Palliative Care is committed to providing and promoting the highest quality of care to patients, and their families, facing end of life issues.

Premier Hospice and Palliative Care integrates Volunteers into the hospice program by actively recruiting, training, supporting, and utilizing Volunteers to meet the needs of the patient and family. Volunteers are a highly respected and valued member of the Patient Care Team.

Program Description Premier Hospice and Palliative Care provides hospices services to patients with a terminal illness and a life expectancy of six (6) months or less.

Hospice services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, (including Holidays), if needed, and are provided in the comfort of the patients home, (home may be a skilled nursing facility, group home, assisted living complex, or a private residence).

A team of professionals, including a Physician, Nurse, Social Worker, Chaplain, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), and a Volunteer, is assigned to each patient, and will provide individualized care based on the needs of the patient and family.

Premier Hospice and Palliative Care serves patients that reside in Maricopa County.
